
Carla has over ten years of professional business experience, ranging from large scale population health initiatives to bridge healthcare and community, to advocating for and passing local policies. Carla has an International Masters of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology and Exercise Sciences. Carla has a wide breadth of education and certifications from: the University of Oregon, University of Alaska, University of Massachusetts Medical School, Southern New Hampshire University and Indiana University School of Public Health.
Originally born and raised in Alaska, Carla is a member of the Chickasaw Indian Nation and has a diverse professional background ranging from providing direct patient care as an exercise physiologist to directing programs and grants across 70+ clinics in the largest tribal healthcare system in Alaska. Most recently, Carla was successful in directing quality and transformation to deliver high quality, coordinated services to over 103,000 lives throughout a multi-county region. Carla is an exercise enthusiast and has a passion for strategic planning, community integration, international diversity and cultural competency.
